Shanghai

Shanghai, referred to as "Shanghai" or "Shen", is the birthplace of the Communist Party of China, the municipality directly under the central government of People's Republic of China, the National Central City, the super large city, the international economic, financial, trade, shipping, science and technology innovation center, and the first coastal open city. Shanghai is located in the Yangtze River Estuary, and is the leading city in the Yangtze River economic belt. It looks across the East China Sea and Japan Kyushu Island, and is on the south coast of Hangzhou Bay. The north and West are connected with the two provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Shanghai is the spring and Autumn period, Chu Chunshenjun Huang Xie fief, the name of shanghai. The four or five century period of Jin Dynasty, created by fishermen fishing tool "Hu", the river into the sea called "ditch", so the downstream area of Songjiang called "Hu Du", and later changed the "Shanghai", Shanghai is referred to as the "shanghai". The Tang Dynasty set up the Huating county. Shanghai is a famous national historical and cultural city. It has a profound cultural heritage and many historical sites in modern cities. After 1843 Shanghai became the opening of the commercial port and quickly became the first big city far east. The total area of Shanghai is 6340 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 16 municipal districts. It belongs to the subtropical humid monsoon climate. The four seasons are clear, the sunshine is full and the rainfall is abundant. In 2015, Shanghai GDP ranked first in Chinese cities and second in Asian cities, second only to Tokyo, Japan. Shanghai is a world-famous financial center, with one of the largest population size and area in the world. Shanghai was rated by GaWC as the world's first tier city. In 2016, the per capita disposable income of Shanghai residents was 54305 yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods were 1 trillion and 94 billion 657 million yuan. Shanghai port has the largest volume of cargo throughput and container throughput in the world. It is a good international port of Jianghai, and has the first free trade area of China (Shanghai) free trade pilot area in mainland China. The city of Shanghai, together with Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, constitutes the city group of the Yangtze River Delta, one of the six largest urban agglomeration in the world.
