(I) Application route:
1. Individual self-funded application: Individual students can apply directly to Chinese universities or through relevant institutions.
2. Government exchanges: handled in accordance with the bilateral exchange agreement between governments. Applicants can apply to the government department, relevant agencies or Chinese Embassy (consulate) in the host country responsible for sending international students.
3. Inter-school exchange: according to the inter-school exchange agreement between schools.
4. Chinese University Independent Enrollment Scholarship Program: Apply to Chinese universities that undertake this project.
5. Group recommendation: Recommended by foreign schools, educational institutions and friendly groups through relevant Chinese institutions or directly to relevant Chinese universities.
(II) Application materials:
1. Prepare the application materials and fill in the application form for studying in China;
2. Provide a copy or scanned copy of your personal passport;
3. Provide personal academic degree certificates and transcripts;
4. Provide Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) scores (if you apply for English teaching courses, you must generally provide TOEFL or IELTS scores, except for applicants whose mother tongue is English);
5. For those who apply for a master's degree or doctoral degree, a letter of recommendation from two people with the title of associate professor or above (or equivalent title) is required;
6. Provide personal study or research plan statements (some institutions or course requirements);
7. Prepare the Physical Examination Records of Foreigners;
8. Those who study in China at their own expense need to provide proof of financial guarantee in addition to the above materials. Applicants under the age of 18 must provide a certificate of guardian in China;
9. Other necessary application materials.
* Please prepare and submit specific materials according to the requirements of the application school. The appeal materials must be in Chinese or English, or with a translation of such language. The relevant forms can be obtained from Chinese universities or Chinese embassies and consulates abroad.
(3) How to apply through this website:
Applying through the "Study in China" website will be very fast and convenient. The following 4 steps will help you complete the application within 20 minutes:
Step 1: Select colleges and majors
1. Register and log in: You can use E-mail to register and log in to the website of Studying in China.
2. Before applying, if you have identified the college, city, major and/or project you want to study, you can search for relevant information through the search engine:

3. Identify colleges and majors, and prepare corresponding application materials.
Step 2: Apply and submit
1. Fill in the application form
2. Upload application materials
3. Submit an individual application
Step 3: Get the admission result
After receiving your application, if the application materials are complete, Chinese colleges and universities will verify your application eligibility and check whether you can be admitted; if the materials are incomplete, the relevant institutions may require you to submit supplementary materials.
For non-degree courses, the review time is generally 2-4 weeks, and for degree courses
Cheng, the review time is generally 4-8 weeks.
The specific review time is subject to each institution, and some institutions may require the applicant to pay the registration fee before the admission decision is made.
